💜💙 WHO ELSE LOVES CHILD'S POSE?

This is probably my most fave stretch. I love doing it first thing in the morning on my bed when I wake up and winding down at the end of the day. 💙 It is great to refocus while I'm working throughout the day 🤗🤗 I like to sit here for a couple of minutes - it doesn't always go to plan with an 11 month old climbing all over me though hehe 💜 💙 I love this pose because it helps to gently stretch the hips, thighs, lengthen  through the back and neck while reducing stress and fatigue. It helps restore, release any tension from the night or day I may be holding onto and helps to centre and soothe me.

Are there any poses that you simply love to do? I  woukd love to hear all about them 😙😙

"I am resilient. I am strong. I am soft. I am open". . . . I don't often feel strong and resilient, but I'm pretty sure I have to be to come through the other side of all of this! I know I am deep down. On the days when I can't stop crying is when I need to remind myself of my strength. On those days I often feel weak, but in fact to live through those days, and make it through to the next one is one of the strongest things anybody can do. . . . Now the part about being soft and open I can definitely relate to. I may not be all that verbal with my feelings, however, I cannot hide them to save my life. Whatever I'm feeling it tends to be written all over my face. I'm an incredibly sensitive person. I mean, I cry at the end of The Little Mermaid when she leaves her Dad for goodness sake! I don't think being this sensitive and open about my feelings is such a bad thing though. Now more than ever I need to let them out, in whatever form feels right to me at the time. I know more than anything that bottling up your feelings is incredibly unhealthy, so I will continue to share how I'm feeling on a day to day basis in any which format I feel is right for me on that day. Whether it be talking to people, crying to myself, writing on my blog or sharing my thoughts here. As long as I'm being open that is what's most important 💚💚💚

Sometimes I just really crave the classic muesli with yoghurt! 💞Although I'm not lactose intolerant, dairy doesn't always agree with my stomach😣However I find I can consume small amounts of yoghurt close to its use by date since there is less lactose present from longer fermentation. Greek yogurt is also naturally lower in lactose compared to others. 🍓

Sometimes a change of perspective is all you need 🙏🏽 handstands are great fun and don't feel like exercise at all! Fantastic for building wrist and shoulder stability, a whole body isometric hold and good core engagement is key! I've set a silly goal to be able to walk on my hands >10 m (neatly) because walking on two feet is a bit boring 😄do you use handstands in training?

Getting my greens in.... fresh cod with cheesy herb sauce from @thebodycoach new book #thesustainplan. Rather than using cream cheese I used quark for a more fat free and protein version. Placed on a bed of sautéed leeks, shredded sprouts, chestnut mushrooms with some pumpkin seeds and some sprinkled Parmesan 🍽👌🏼 a nutritious meal with a great combination of great flavours. .

Sometimes the best things come when you veer off course.⠀

If your sense of direction is anything like mine, then that'll happen often! 😄⠀

This was the unexpected but stunning sunset when I took a wrong turn on my bike around the Olympic park, or what is now home of West Ham United FC (my dad's team!).⠀
⠀
But it is also true of my life this past year. All the things I expected to happen haven't, but there have been many unexpected joys.⠀
⠀
Is it best to keep determinedly on your 'path', in 'that' direction?

Or better to know when it's time to follow a slightly different route and go with the flow?⠀
